ALL WINES
Behind every Umani Ronchi wine is a world wrought of sensations, emotions and stories to tell. Whether it be from Marche or Abruzzo, choose the bottle best suited to your needs and tastes.
ABRUZZO
Red wines made with Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes, complex and balanced, redolent of cherry, licorice and spices, are accompanied by Pecorino whites, citrusy, fresh, marked by superb sapidity.
The grapes for our Abruzzo wines grow in a unique, alluvial soil whose top layer of sandy-clay loam, at points, lets through the gravel below, uncommon conditions that give rise to wines of superb minerality. The presence of the nearby Gran Sasso and the winds of the Adriatic sea make for notable day-night temperature swings, a phenomenon that helps the grapes develop their aromatic qualities.
METODO CLASSICO
A limited edition collection made with artisan spirit and style, among Italy’s best Metodo Classico wines.
A small range consisting of 3 wines. The main grape for the two Blanc de Blancs is Verdicchio (accompanied by a splash of Chardonnay), while the Rosé is 100% Montepulciano. From the vineyard to the cellar, where the wines rest on their own lees anywhere from 30-50 months, we draw on an artisanal approach.
COLLINE DEL VERDICCHIO
Made with native grape varieties, this white wine is characterized by aromas of broom, citrus fruits and aromatic herbs. Sapid and fresh, it reveals a trademark hint of almond on the finish.
This indigenous grape grows in Le Marche, where it manages to develop its distinctive features thanks to a unique climate and environment. Verdicchio is known for its ability to age particularly well over time. Reserves and single-vineyard wines can age for more than 10 years, acquiring considerable complexity.
CONERO
Made with Montepulciano grapes, this red wine offers up hints of spices, small berries and balsamic nuances. In the mouth it stands out for its pervasive tannins and excellent length.
Situated on a peak overlooking the sea, Mount Conero protects the surrounding hills from cold northeastern winds. The result is a unique “terroir” where the grapes develop balanced acidity, sugars and phenolic compounds. Conero represents the northernmost area where Montepulciano can be cultivated, giving rise to wines of extreme elegance.
OTHER WINES
Wines inspired by a desire to revive and highlight the attributes of lesser-known varieties cultivated in only a few parts of the region.
Wines that interpret rare grapes, which Umani Ronchi is developing and promoting, all with a keen eye on quality, from Lacrima di Morro D’Alba to Bianchello del Metauro and Passerina (a grape unique to the Adriatic coast).
