Few lines to describe our personal Vinitaly 2016. Cultural, organic and more international than ever.
Sting and his music have been emblematic during Opera Wine and surely have represented the official Vinitaly 50s edition opening. According to Wine Spectator, Palazzo della Gran Guardia has been reached in few hours by the best Italian and international wine experts for a superb tasting. Our Verdicchio Vecchie Vigne 2012, selected together with other 100 wines, has had the honor to represent Marche during a very special night that reinforced the cultural and social aspect of the wine world.
Sunday has been an intense day, organized in “itinerant” tastings to which we have participated with our Verdicchio Vecchie Vigne 2013 and Plenio 2013,starting from Tre bicchieri Gambero Rosso, continuing with Daniele Cernilli’s Doctor Wine Selection, finishing with the permanent tasting regarding wines from Marche in the stand of Consorzio IMT.
Together with these major events, Umani Ronchi booth has seen a flux of wine lovers, critics, journalists, sommeliers, wine experts, importers and great distributors from all over the world. A mix of cultures, habits, countries and people all focused around the same product, the Italian wine, that is getting more and more appreciated everywhere abroad.
A great success has been obtained by Casal di Serra BIO, our latest product. This wine is the result of an agronomic process started over 4 years ago and oriented to a progressive conversion of all our vineyards till a total biologic farming. A trend and a very contemporary topic that has been debated even within “Vinitaly bio”, a space dedicated to the Wine Monitor/Nomisma results regarding the effect of the “green” world vineyards (4,5%) and to the European role that represents the 84% of the world bio oriented realities with Spain as number one and Italy just after.
Great international success also for the Pelago limited edition case that contains magnums from 1996, 2000 and 2001, all made by Giacomo Tachis.
An edition that we are going to remember also for the special recognition we obtained thanks to our historic participation to the fair, since the very first year in 1967 till today. 50 years together with Vinitaly.
Our personal Vinitaly is finished exactly with the event dedicated to the prestigious winemaker Giacomo Tachis: a tasting focused on all the great wines realized by his genius. Our Pelago 1995 has been the frame of a very touching moment for us and for the whole wine world.
