Vinexpo 2016 – Hong Kong
From May 24th to 26th we were in Hong Kong for the Vinexpo, one of the most important fairs in the wine business that on the last years became the annual meeting in Asia for buyers, sommelier and traders. This year Italy was the “honour country” so there were many events during the fair and outside the Conference and Exhibition Center focused on the Italian wines.
We had a special booth with the other producers of the Grandi Marchi Institute and it was a good occasion to show our wines and speak about our regions. During the fair our wines were in different events and tastings; one of these was the Arvid Rosengren blind tasting. Arvid was the Champion at the last World Sommelier Competition in Argentina and he tasted 10 wines from all the world during the Vinexpo Hong Kong and we were there with our Casal di Serra 2015.
Vecchie Vigne 2013 was selected by Ian D’Agata for his “Indigenous Grapes from Italy” seminar with Decanter. A nice trip across Italy with 10 native grapes with its own characteristics and taste.
We showed also our top labels awarded by Gambero Rosso during the Tre Bicchieri tasting, a nice occasion to show the best of our production like Vecchie Vigne 2013, Cumaro 2011 and Pelago 2011, well appreciated by the Asian traders and wine lovers.
