The “Old Vintages Library” project
Umani Ronchi is a historic family business, valuing its Heritage as a strong corporate value. One of the latest projects, aimed at enhancing this historical and cultural legacy, will see the old vintages of some of our wines as protagonists. A meticulous work made up of analyses and tastings that Michele Bernetti, CEO and President of the winery, has been carrying out together with his technicians, in order to select a limited edition of Umani Ronchi wines that are "champions of longevity", to be then released onto the market.
From the legendary '94 Pelago, winner of the International Wine Challenge in London and awarded as Best Red Wine in the World, to the 2009 Vecchie Vigne chosen by Gambero Rosso as White Wine of the Year, all the bottles are part of the precious library of historic Umani Ronchi vintages kept in the private vault of the Bernetti family.
A deep journey through time and history, through the evolution of wine and a project that we are sure will involve enthusiasts and collectors.
An article about this project will be published on the March issue of Civiltà del Bere.
